Here is some news from our very own, Dr. Pravinde Ramoutar, T&T Heart Foundation Director and Head of the Cardiology Care Unit at the San Fernando Teaching Hospital. On Thursday 30th June, 2016, the Trinidad and Tobago Heart Foundation was present alongside Dr. Ramoutar in observance of the World Heart Month at the San Fernando Teaching Hospital.
Faced with an increase in heart disease, Dr. Ramoutar, is calling for a cardiac rehabilitation centre to be established in T&T. Ramoutar stated: “If a rehabilitation hospital is set up, people with strokes, heart disease as well as those recovering from cardiac surgery can get assistance.”
